1. Definitions of the terms
Terms used in this Privacy Policy beginning with a capital letter will have the meanings given to them in the General terms and conditions of sale.
2. Categories of personal data collected by Galerie Penelope
This is information about you as a natural person that you have communicated to Galerie Pénélope via different communication channels.
We inform you that the information that must be provided to Galerie Pénélope is indicated in a visible way by an asterisk on our Site. This information is essential for the processing of your orders. Information not marked with an asterisk is optional.
In the context of your relationship with Galerie Pénélope, the following data may be collected:

3. Purposes of the collection by Galerie Pénélope
Galerie Pénélope collects personal data relating to its Clients in several cases:
- The execution of the contract between you and Galerie Pénélope. The execution of the contract implies to carry out many operations related to the management of the Customers concerning in particular the contracts; the orders; the invoices; the accountancy and in particular the management of the customer accounts; the follow-up of the customer relationship. This may also involve providing access to the Site and access to your dedicated customer area to enable you, in particular, to consult and track your orders, the execution of the orders that you have placed on the Site (in particular the tracking and return of products as well as any complaints); or simply answering your questions about the Products or processing requests relating to orders.
- The realization of the legitimate interests of Galerie Pénélope in its capacity as a company with commercial activity. As an example, Galerie Penelope has a legitimate interest in proposing to its existing Customers similar or analogous products to those which have already been bought by the Customer and will thus be able to inform you of new similar Products likely to interest you.
- Your consent to receive information from Galerie Pénélope. It will thus be able to proceed to the sending of newsletters and any other documentation (brochures in particular) that you have requested. This may include the management of any subscription and unsubscription to newsletters at your request; the communication of information relating to Galerie Pénélope: news, products and services, commercial prospecting and personalized offers.
- The respect of the legal, regulatory, accounting and fiscal obligations of Galerie Pénélope. We can be brought to keep information relating in particular to the invoicing and the accountancy in order to demonstrate the respect of our legal obligations.

As part of its commercial activity, Galerie Pénélope uses technical service providers. Your data may be processed by these technical service providers (IT, hosting, email distribution, maintenance, online payment provider, etc.).
Galerie Pénélope uses Shopify's services to operate its Site. Shopify is a service provider based in the United States and Canada. The processing of your personal data by Shopify is legally regulated and protected through the mechanism of the Privacy Shield (United States) and by the adequacy decision C(2001) 4539 of the European Commission of 20 December 2001 (Canada). Galerie Pénélope undertakes not to transfer or sell your personal data to third parties who are not partners. We do not communicate any personal data of our Customers to agencies or companies for marketing or commercial purposes.
If the law, an authority (for example the tax authorities or the CNIL) or a judge were to compel Galerie Pénélope to communicate personal data concerning you, Galerie Pénélope undertakes, as far as possible, to inform you (unless Galerie Pénélope is not authorised to do so, particularly in view of any legal or judicial obligations that may fall to it).
Finally, we may acquire or merge or be acquired by another company or sell all or part of our assets. In such a case, you will be notified in advance and will have the option to delete your account.
5. Access, updating and/or deletion of personal data
You can modify the personal data you have provided on the Site via the "My Account" section. You can also make your request by sending an email or letter to the contact details indicated in article 9 - Contact.
6. Period of storage of your personal data
Your personal data are kept for the time necessary to carry out the purposes described above and for the duration of the applicable legal requirements.
7. Your rights regarding your personal data
You have the following rights over your personal data, under the conditions set out in the above-mentioned texts:

In connection with these requests to exercise your rights, your request to exercise your rights must indicate your full name and e-mail address.
A reply will then be sent to you within a maximum period of one (1) month following receipt of the request, except in the event of difficulties in processing your request. It will also be necessary to specify the address to which the answer should be sent to you.

8. Regulatory or contractual nature of the provision of personal data
The requirement to provide your personal data is both contractual and regulatory in nature; the refusal to provide this data may result in Galerie Pénélope being unable to comply with its contractual and/or legal obligations.
